Grab’s ‘V-Day Your Way’ Campaign Highlights On-Demand Valentine’s Plans
Grab Philippines is rolling out its “V-Day Your Way, Easy with Grab” campaign, positioning its superapp ecosystem as a tech-enabled solution for personalized Valentine’s Day celebrations.
The campaign underscores how Filipinos are increasingly shaping their own versions of Valentine’s — from traditional romantic dinners to solo self-care and group celebrations — with Grab’s mobility, food delivery, and on-demand services supporting different budgets and preferences.
At the center of the campaign is a digital film encouraging users to move beyond traditional Valentine’s tropes and celebrate in ways that feel authentic, practical, or spontaneous.
Valentine’s Day Remains a Peak Demand Period for Grab
According to Grab Philippines, Valentine’s Day continues to be one of its strongest seasonal moments in terms of consumer demand. The company attributes this to its integrated ecosystem of delivery riders, merchant partners, and ride-hailing services.
Grab Philippines Chief Commercial Officer EJ Dela Vega noted that the platform’s scale allows users to customize their celebrations, whether through last-minute deliveries, scheduled gift drops, or restaurant bookings.
Data Shows Rise in Last-Minute Gifting
Grab data indicates a consistent spike in GrabMart transactions on February 14 compared to regular days, reflecting strong demand for same-day gifting.
Among the most ordered items during previous Valentine’s periods are coffee bundles, Ecuadorian roses, and chocolates, reinforcing that classic gift choices remain popular despite evolving dating trends.
To support early planners, Grab highlights features such as Order for Later and GrabMart’s 14-day advance booking for flowers and gifts. These tools allow users to schedule deliveries ahead of peak-hour demand.
For couples dining out, Grab Dine-Out offers discounts of up to 50 percent at participating partner restaurants, aiming to reduce the friction typically associated with securing reservations during high-demand dates.
Solo Dining Emerges as a Growing Trend
Grab also reported that solo meals rank among the top food delivery orders during Valentine’s Day, reflecting a broader shift toward independent celebrations.
To address this, the platform is promoting its Meal for One category, which features curated solo portions with fixed pricing. The move is designed to eliminate high minimum order thresholds and delivery fee concerns for individual customers.
Group Orders Gain Traction for ‘Galentine’s’ Celebrations
Shared celebrations are also contributing to seasonal demand. Grab said Group Order transactions historically grew threefold during Valentine’s-related periods, enabling multiple users to add items to a single cart while splitting payments digitally.
The feature is positioned as a coordination tool for group gatherings, allowing friends to manage orders without manual cash collection or messaging back-and-forth.
Valentine’s Promos Extend Through February
Grab is extending its Valentine’s push throughout the month, offering promo codes across its services. Discounts include additional savings on Grab Dine-Out, GrabMart gift purchases, GrabFood orders, and Group Orders during select dates in February.
Through its “V-Day Your Way” campaign, Grab is emphasizing that Valentine’s celebrations no longer follow a single formula. Instead, the company is positioning technology and on-demand services as tools that allow users to personalize how — and with whom — they celebrate.
