ASUS ROG Unveils Strix GS-BE7200 Dual-Band WiFi 7 Gaming Router
ASUS Republic of Gamers has announced the ROG Strix GS-BE7200, a dual-band WiFi 7 gaming router designed to deliver faster speeds, wider coverage, and optimized performance for competitive gaming and connected homes.
Built on the WiFi 7 (802.11be) standard, the ROG Strix GS-BE7200 supports Multi-Link Operation (MLO), 160MHz channels, and 4K-QAM modulation, enabling combined wireless speeds of up to 7200Mbps. ASUS said these technologies are aimed at reducing latency and maintaining stable connections for online gaming, high-resolution streaming, and large data transfers, even in congested network environments.
The router features six internal antennas, including an enhanced five-antenna 5GHz configuration. According to ASUS, this 5T5R design improves long-range 5GHz throughput by up to 15% compared to standard 4T4R routers, helping maintain performance across multi-room setups and larger homes.
To support gaming-focused use cases, the GS-BE7200 includes ROG Gaming Network, which prioritizes gaming traffic to help ensure consistent low-latency connections during gameplay. The router also comes with dual dedicated gaming ports designed to give priority to connected gaming devices.
Beyond gaming, the GS-BE7200 integrates WiFi 7 AiMesh support and Smart Home Master controls, allowing users to manage separate networks for children, IoT devices, and VPN usage. ASUS added that the router supports up to 30 VPN clients and multiple protocols, including WireGuard, OpenVPN, and IPSec. Network security features include AiProtection and Safe Browsing to help safeguard connected devices.
ASUS confirmed that the ROG Strix GS-BE7200 will be available in Singapore starting late March 2026. ASUS has yet to announce pricing details, while local ASUS representatives will share availability in other markets.
