realme has announced the Harry Potter Edition phone, a limited-edition version of the realme 16 Pro 5G priced at PHP 39,999. The release, dated October 29, 2026, presents a Magic Brown handset with Hogwarts-inspired exterior details, themed software and a trunk-shaped gift box containing collectibles. realme says fewer than 200 units will be available nationwide.
The device joins the realme 16 Pro 5G Series as a release for fans and collectors. Its Harry Potter treatment covers several parts of the package: the phone’s back and camera decoration, elements of the on-screen interface, and printed items and accessories inside the box.
A crest that changes under light
According to realme, the Magic Brown phone uses an Enchanted Texture Leather back with a three-dimensional diamond pattern inspired by the wizard chessboard. At the center is the Hogwarts Four-House Crest, which reveals the signature colors of Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff under direct sunlight or UV light.
The company calls the technology behind that effect Quadra Light-Sensing Color-changing Tech. The crest’s response to sunlight or UV light is a stated design feature of this edition, alongside the texture and pattern on its back.
A gold, Hedwig-inspired camera decoration frames the lenses. Gold also runs along the edges of the handset, while the words “Welcome to Hogwarts,” are laser-engraved along its side. These exterior details reference the school and its houses.
Hogwarts themes on the display
The Harry Potter Edition phone carries the theme into its software. Exclusive wallpapers show Hogwarts Castle in two settings: Golden Dawn for daytime and Mystic Dusk for nighttime. The named scenes give the wallpapers a daytime and nighttime treatment of the same location.
realme also lists boot-up and fingerprint animations inspired by Hogwarts acceptance letters. More than 30 app icons have been redesigned for the theme. Photos taken with the handset can carry watermarks inspired by the four Hogwarts houses, extending the visual treatment to the images it produces.
What comes inside the trunk
The limited-edition gift box resembles a Harry Potter-inspired trunk. Its lid displays the Hogwarts crest and the realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition name. Inside is a Hogwarts acceptance letter addressed to Mr. Potter, alongside character postcards featuring Harry, Ron and Hermione.
The package includes bookmarks for Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, as well as Hogwarts Crest pins. A ticket inspired by the Hogwarts Express marks the route from London to Hogwarts via Platform 9¾. The letter, postcards, bookmarks, pins and ticket form the collection packed inside the themed trunk.
Price and Philippine locations
realme prices the Harry Potter Edition phone at PHP 39,999 and says fewer than 200 units will be available nationwide. The announcement names Hogwarts-inspired store displays at SM Fairview, SM North EDSA and SM Calamba.
Separately, it states that the device will be available at kiosks in SM Clark, SM Dasmariñas and SM Megamall. The display locations are distinct from the kiosks expressly listed for device availability. For further updates about the release, realme directs readers to its official Facebook page.
