PLDT Enterprise brought connectivity and digital services closer to businesses and government organizations in the Zamboanga Peninsula during a forum on September 29, 2026. The company said the offerings address practical needs such as connectivity in remote locations, mobile work, cybersecurity, and more connected operations. The forum presented Zamboanga business digital solutions for organizations with different operating requirements.
The Enterprise Connectivity Forum Zamboanga – Redefining Wireless Possibilities was held at the Ibiza Ballroom of Palacio Del Sur of Marcian Garden Hotel. It drew 75 participants from business and government agencies representing fishing, agriculture, hospitality, education, government, and manufacturing. Participants also included representatives from PNP, DICT region IX, Ateneo de Zamboanga University, and West Metro Medical Center, among others.

The event marked the first PLDT Enterprise Wireless Summit dedicated to businesses in the Zamboanga Peninsula. The forum highlighted how organizations can find tailored digital solutions relevant to them depending on how and where they operate.
Connectivity options for different locations
PLDT Enterprise presented fiber for fixed locations, wireless connectivity for greater mobility, and PLDT Satellite Internet powered by Starlink for sites where terrestrial connectivity may be difficult or unavailable. PLDT Enterprise is an authorized Starlink reseller in the Philippines. Its satellite offering is designed to complement its fiber, wireless, and other connectivity services, particularly in remote and hard-to-reach areas.
The forum also covered Mobile Private Network (MPN), which provides an enterprise with dedicated digital infrastructure that can give it greater control over connectivity, performance, and security for critical operations. PLDT Enterprise said MPN is suited to industries requiring reliable, low-latency connectivity and a safe network environment.
Beyond connectivity, PLDT Enterprise discussed IoT and cybersecurity solutions. Its IoT portfolio includes capabilities for monitoring devices, assets, and operations using real-time information. Cybersecurity solutions can help organizations strengthen protection as more processes, communications, and transactions move online.
“For Zamboanga businesses, connectivity requirements can vary widely, especially when operations extend beyond traditional office locations. We want customers to have practical options they can match to their people, sites, and day-to-day needs,” said Josh Montecillo, Head of Enterprise & International Wireless Product Management, PLDT Enterprise.
Applications across local industries
PLDT Enterprise said Zamboanga business digital solutions have potential applications across the peninsula’s local industries. In fishing, connectivity and monitoring tools can help businesses manage distributed operations, including company assets and fleets. Satellite connectivity can provide another option for remote or difficult-to-connect sites. The Zamboanga Peninsula is a major center for sardine fishing and processing, with Zamboanga-based canneries supplying a substantial share of the country’s canned sardines.

For agriculture, IoT can support real-time monitoring and data-driven management of agricultural operations. In hospitality, reliable business connectivity and Wi-Fi can support daily operations and guest connectivity. Education institutions can use reliable internet and digital infrastructure for connected campuses and learning environments. PLDT Enterprise’s business connectivity portfolio supports separate employee and guest Wi-Fi networks, while its education partnerships include campus connectivity applications.
“Our focus is to understand what local customers need and help them use technology in practical ways that can support their operations and growth,” said Jiggs Calixto, AVP and Mindanao Customer Relationship Management Head of PLDT Enterprise.
Through the forum, PLDT Enterprise aims to help existing and prospective customers understand available Zamboanga business digital solutions and how they can respond to specific requirements.
