PLDT adds mWell Family Plan 399 for Fiber subscribers

For households weighing a clinic visit against monthly bills, PLDT Home Life and mWell have introduced mWell Family Plan 399, a ₱399-per-month digital health subscription for PLDT Home Fiber subscribers. The service is positioned as a way for families to seek routine medical advice and monitor wellness without travelling to a clinic, though it is not a replacement for emergency hospital services. The release does not provide plan terms beyond the listed benefits.

The announcement cites Department of Health and industry data to argue that cost pressures contribute to delayed care. It says 44.7% of healthcare expenses are paid out of pocket and cites 7.2% general inflation as of September 2026. The release does not identify the specific DOH or industry reports for those figures, so they are presented here as company-cited data.

According to the release, mWell Family Plan 399 covers up to four family members. It includes unlimited, on-demand teleconsultations with licensed general practitioners and certified mental health coaches. PLDT and mWell say the plan also provides the mWell Fam Dashboard, an online hub for parents and family caregivers to monitor, track and manage health metrics in real time. The companies describe this as a family-management tool, not a diagnosis or emergency-care system.

The subscription additionally includes unlimited access to the in-app mWellness Score and Mind Health Score. The release says the former tracks steps, physical activity and inactivity, and sleep quality, while the latter is intended for emotional-wellbeing tracking and mental-wellness exercises. Those are product descriptions from mWell; the release supplies no clinical-validation details for either score.

Each plan includes an mWell Prestige Watch that pairs with the app to monitor health metrics, steps, heart rate and sleep quality, according to the release. It also says the primary subscriber receives annual, replenishable ₱20,000 Personal Accident Insurance. The announcement does not set out policy conditions, exclusions, claims procedures or eligibility criteria, so prospective subscribers would need to consult the provider’s terms before relying on that coverage.

PLDT Home Life Vice President and Head of Home Digital Services Evert Chris Miranda said the offering is meant to put physical and mental well-being into household planning. Chaye Cabal-Revilla, mWell president and CEO, said the combined tools are intended to help families understand how loved ones are doing, spot changes in wellness and seek timely medical advice. These remain company statements about the service’s intended use.

Digital care has clear limits

The practical distinction is important: remote consultations and app-based monitoring may reduce some access barriers, but the release itself says digital care does not replace emergency hospital services. The new mWell Family Plan 399 is pitched around earlier advice and routine tracking, not treatment for urgent conditions. For Fiber households considering the service, the relevant questions are whether all four family slots will be used and how the app, watch and insurance terms fit their needs. The release states only the ₱399 monthly offer for PLDT Home Fiber subscribers and does not describe other subscription options.
