vivo V70 Delivers Up to 120fps Gaming with OLED Display and Vapor Chamber Cooling

As mobile gaming continues to push smartphone hardware to its limits, manufacturers are increasingly focusing on sustained performance rather than peak benchmark scores alone. The vivo V70 enters this space with a feature set aimed at gamers, combining a high-refresh OLED display, advanced cooling, and a large battery designed for extended play sessions.

The device supports gameplay at up to 120 frames per second (fps) in supported titles while incorporating thermal management features intended to maintain stable performance over time.

120Hz OLED Display Supports High-Frame-Rate Gaming

The vivo V70 features a 6.59-inch 1.5K Ultra Clear OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, allowing smoother animations and more responsive touch input during gameplay.

In competitive mobile titles, higher refresh rates can improve visual fluidity and reduce perceived input delay. During testing, the device reportedly maintained frame rates between 90fps and 120fps in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang with graphics settings set near maximum.

For Call of Duty: Mobile, the phone sustained between 60fps and 90fps using Very High graphics settings and maximum frame rate options.

The display also reaches a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits, improving outdoor visibility when gaming or consuming content under bright conditions.

Vapor Chamber Cooling Aims to Reduce Thermal Throttling

Heat remains one of the biggest challenges for gaming smartphones, especially during extended sessions where sustained performance matters more than short bursts of speed.

To address this, the vivo V70 incorporates a 4,200mm² vapor chamber liquid cooling system designed to dissipate heat from critical internal components.

The cooling solution helps maintain frame stability during longer gaming sessions by reducing thermal buildup that can lead to throttling, frame drops, and lag. vivo also includes Ultra Game Mode, which prioritizes gaming performance by optimizing system resources and minimizing interruptions.

6,500mAh Battery Designed for Extended Gaming Sessions

Battery capacity continues to play a major role in gaming-focused smartphones, particularly for users who spend hours in multiplayer matches or streaming content.

The vivo V70 is equipped with a 6,500mAh BlueVolt battery, one of the larger battery capacities available in its segment.

To minimize downtime, the device supports 90W FlashCharge, allowing users to quickly recharge between sessions. It also features Bypass Charging, a technology that powers the phone directly while gaming instead of routing energy through the battery, helping reduce heat generation during charging.

Benchmark Scores Reflect Gaming-Oriented Performance

The tested variant of the vivo V70 featured 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, powered by a Snapdragon mobile platform.

In AnTuTu Benchmark v11, the device achieved a score of 1,434,017, placing it among the higher-performing smartphones in its segment and indicating strong capability for gaming, multitasking, and demanding mobile applications.

During a 20-minute 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test, the vivo V70 recorded 65.4% stability while sustaining graphics performance under continuous load. Surface temperatures peaked at approximately 42°C to 43°C throughout the test.

These results suggest the device can retain a substantial portion of its performance during extended gaming sessions without experiencing severe thermal throttling, balancing performance output with manageable heat levels during prolonged workloads.

vivo Targets Gamers Seeking Sustained Performance

The vivo V70 arrives as smartphone manufacturers increasingly compete in the gaming and performance segment without necessarily adopting dedicated gaming-phone designs.

By combining a 120Hz OLED display, vapor chamber cooling, a 6,500mAh battery, and fast charging capabilities, the device aims to provide a balanced experience for users who regularly play MOBA and FPS titles on mobile.

The vivo V70 is now available in the Philippines through vivo stores, the vivo e-store, Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop, with pricing starting at ₱35,999.
