Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy A18 and A08 in the Philippines, bringing two Galaxy A Series smartphones with AI-powered features, upgraded hardware and long-term software support. The Galaxy A08 is available now through Samsung.com and Authorized Samsung Stores nationwide, while the Galaxy A18 is scheduled to be available in the Philippines by December 2026.
Galaxy A18 targets performance and camera flexibility

The Galaxy A18 pairs a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a Helio G99+ processor. Samsung says the display delivers rich visuals and fluid scrolling for streaming, social media and gaming, while upgraded LPDDR5 memory supports faster data transfer, multitasking and AI-powered tasks.
The smartphone also includes RAM Plus, which uses available storage as virtual memory. It can be enabled for additional support during activities such as gaming or switched off to preserve storage for photos and videos.
For photography, Samsung describes the Galaxy A18’s setup as a true versatile triple-camera system. It consists of a 50MP wide camera, a 5MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera, covering landscapes, group photos and close-ups.
Galaxy A08 emphasizes battery life

The Galaxy A08 features a 6,000mAh battery designed to support longer entertainment use, including video streaming and social media browsing. Samsung positions the phone as a way for users to stay connected with friends and family throughout the day.
It uses the same Helio G99+ processor and upgraded LPDDR5 memory listed for the Galaxy A18. RAM Plus provides additional memory flexibility, while users can turn it off to retain storage for photos and videos.
The camera system includes a 50MP autofocus main camera, a 2MP depth camera and an 8MP front camera. Samsung says the setup provides the essentials for taking and sharing everyday photos.
Shared AI and security features
The Galaxy A18 and A08 include Circle to Search with Google, which lets users circle or tap content on the screen to search without typing or switching between apps. Samsung also highlights a new Find the Look feature for searching for an entire outfit or identifying music playing nearby.
Both smartphones include multiple AI agents that can work across supported Galaxy native apps, Google apps and selected third-party applications. Through voice commands or a long press, users can ask Gemini or Perplexity to activate supported apps.
For durability, Samsung lists IP64-rated protection against dust and water splashes for both devices. The Galaxy A18 also uses a glass-fibre-reinforced polymer back cover that is thinner and stronger compared with the Glastic material used in previous Galaxy A Series smartphones.
Samsung says the Galaxy A18 and A08 will receive up to six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Both phones also feature Samsung Knox Vault for hardware-based protection of sensitive information. Samsung notes that Knox Vault features or architecture may differ from those on Galaxy flagship devices.

The Galaxy A08 is available in Dark Blue, Silver and Green. It starts at ₱11,190 for the 4GB+64GB variant and ₱13,090 for the 4GB+128GB model.
