BPI reports over threefold growth in Digital Supply Chain Financing transactions in 2025

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) reported that transaction values under its Digital Supply Chain Financing (SCF) Program grew by more than threefold in 2025, driven by increasing adoption among corporate clients and suppliers nationwide.

The milestone underscores the bank’s efforts to expand digital business financing solutions that improve working capital access, strengthen supplier relationships, and build more resilient supply chains.

Faster access to working capital

Launched in 2024, BPI’s Digital SCF Program enables suppliers to receive early payment for approved invoices before their scheduled due dates through a fully digital platform.

Under the program, corporate clients upload approved invoices eligible for financing, allowing suppliers to choose which invoices they want to fund. Once approved, the proceeds are credited to their accounts on the same day.

According to BPI, the platform has supported more than 12 corporate clients and over 500 suppliers across various industries since its launch.

Supporting businesses and suppliers

The bank said the program helps suppliers—from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to large businesses—improve cash flow, maintain business continuity, and capitalize on growth opportunities through quicker access to working capital.

For corporate clients, the platform is designed to strengthen supplier relationships while promoting more stable and efficient supply chains.

“Strong supply chains are built on strong supplier relationships. Through the Digital SCF Program, we are helping businesses create a more sustainable ecosystem where suppliers—from MSMEs to large enterprises—have access to the financial support they need to grow and thrive,” said Louie Cruz, BPI Institutional Banking Head.

Expanding digital financing

As adoption continues to increase, BPI said it plans to further expand the Digital SCF Program to help more businesses access faster and more convenient financing solutions.

Beyond improving working capital access, the bank said the initiative supports its broader commitment to promoting business growth, sustainability, and financial inclusion through digital innovation.
