TCL Philippines is expanding its gaming monitor lineup with the TCL 25P1AD and 27P2A, adding a high-refresh 25-inch display and a QHD Mini LED model to its Philippine portfolio.
The two monitors target different parts of the gaming market. The 25P1AD focuses on high-refresh competitive gaming with a native 280Hz refresh rate and up to 300Hz through its menu, while the 27P2A combines a 27-inch QHD panel with Mini LED backlighting and a 200Hz refresh rate.
TCL officially entered the Philippine monitor market earlier this year as it expanded beyond its established TV business.
TCL 25P1AD targets competitive gaming
The 25P1AD is a 25-inch QHD monitor designed around high-refresh gaming. It has a native 280Hz refresh rate, with an option to increase it to 300Hz through the monitor’s menu.
The monitor also has a 0.5ms MPRT response time and supports both AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync, allowing it to synchronize its refresh rate with compatible graphics hardware to reduce screen tearing and stuttering.
Other specifications include HDR support and up to 400 nits of peak brightness.
The monitor also uses TCL’s Smart Gaming display features, which are designed to improve motion clarity and visibility during fast-moving gameplay.
27P2A combines QHD resolution and Mini LED
The 27P2A takes a different approach, pairing a larger 27-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display with Mini LED backlighting.
Its 200Hz refresh rate is complemented by a claimed 1ms GtG response time, while peak brightness reaches 600 nits. TCL also lists 99% sRGB coverage for the monitor.
The Mini LED backlight is designed to provide more controlled illumination across the display, helping the monitor deliver deeper contrast and brighter highlights while retaining the higher resolution of its QHD panel.
For motion performance, the 27P2A uses TCL’s TMOC Motion Clarity technology alongside AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility.
Both monitors use TCL’s HFS panel technology
The 25P1AD and 27P2A both use CSOT’s HFS panel technology, which TCL describes as an IPS-type high-speed panel design.
The panels support 178-degree viewing angles, rapid response times, and consistent color reproduction across viewing positions.
The combination gives TCL two distinct options within its growing Philippine monitor lineup: the 25P1AD prioritizes extremely high refresh rates for competitive gaming, while the 27P2A combines higher-resolution gaming with Mini LED backlighting.

TCL has not provided Philippine pricing or availability details for the two monitors in the announcement.
