MLBB celebrates 10 years in the Philippines with four-day Market! Market! event

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) brought its 10th anniversary celebration to Market! Market! in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, with four days of community activities from October 8 to 11.

The activation gathered Filipino players, content creators, cosplayers and esports personalities as part of MOONTON Games’ global ALL IN MLBB anniversary campaign, recognizing the local community’s role in the game’s growth.

The event also featured a performance inspired by Philippine dance traditions and #LibreNiMLBB, an activity built around the Filipino practice of treating friends and loved ones to food. Participants received limited-edition 10th anniversary merchandise and loot bags, according to MOONTON Games.

“For 10 years, MLBB has grown with its players, and the Philippines has been an important part of that journey,” said Jay Wang, Head of Publishing, Philippines, at MOONTON Games. “This celebration is our thank-you to the Filipino community—for the passion, creativity, and connections they have brought to MLBB.”

MLBB brings Filipino culture into the game

The anniversary also highlighted the game’s connections to Philippine culture, from its roster of heroes to collaborations with familiar local brands and entertainers.

MLBB features Lapu-Lapu, inspired by the Philippine historical figure, and Paquito, whose character draws inspiration from boxing icon Manny Pacquiao. MOONTON Games also pointed to collaborations with the SexBomb Girls and Jollibee as examples of its use of Filipino pop culture in the game.

For Sarrosa, who has participated in the MLBB community as a streamer and cosplayer, the game has become a meeting point for players and fans beyond the matches themselves.

“Celebrating 10 years of MLBB feels incredibly special, especially here in the Philippines where the game has become such a huge part of our gaming culture,” Sarrosa said. “For me, MLBB has always been more than just a game—it’s a community that has brought so many Filipinos together.”

Anniversary parade truck tours Metro Manila

The celebration extended beyond Market! Market! through an MLBB 10th Anniversary Parade Truck that travelled through key Metro Manila areas before and during the event.

The mobile installation featured different daytime and nighttime visual setups and served as a photo stop for fans. At designated locations, attendees could take pictures, meet featured talents and cosplayers, join anniversary activities and create content.

Together, the mall activation and parade truck brought the anniversary campaign to different parts of Metro Manila while keeping the spotlight on the players and communities that have supported MLBB in the Philippines over the past decade.
