Epson adds direct printing workflow to Adobe Express with new Print add-on

Epson has introduced a new add-on for Adobe Express that lets users send designs directly to Epson Print Automate, cutting out the export-and-upload process previously required to prepare files for printing.

The integration connects design creation with production in a few clicks, giving businesses and professional print environments a more direct way to prepare materials such as retail signage, corporate communications and photographs.

Previously, users had to export their Adobe Express designs before uploading them to Epson Print Automate. The new add-on launches Epson’s application from Adobe Express and sends files to the production workflow without the separate transfer steps.

Epson says the integration is intended to reduce time spent managing files and let users focus more on creating print materials. The extension supports 11 local languages, although the company has not disclosed performance measurements showing how much time the new workflow saves.

“Businesses today expect creative and production tools to work together seamlessly,” said Hattori Tai, regional director of commercial and industrial inkjet products at Epson Southeast Asia.

“With the new Epson Print add-on for Adobe Express, we’re making it easier for users to move from idea to finished print with greater efficiency,” Hattori said.

Epson Adobe Express add-on supports seven SureColor printers

The add-on is compatible with Epson Print Automate Version 4.1, which manages print-ready output for selected Epson SureColor printers.

At launch, supported models include the Epson SureColor P5330, P7330, P7530, P9300, P6530E, P8530D, and P9530.

Epson says the integration is designed to maintain the color accuracy, reliability, and production quality of its professional printing solutions while making the transition from design to print production more convenient.

Users can access the add-on through Adobe Express, while Epson Print Automate Version 4.1 serves as the updated production application.

What the Epson integration means for Philippine businesses

For Philippine businesses and print professionals already using Adobe Express and a supported SureColor printer, the add-on could simplify a routine part of production by removing the need to export and manually upload design files.

The benefits will depend on the user’s existing setup. Teams using unsupported printers or workflows that do not rely on Epson Print Automate may see little immediate change, while those handling frequent design revisions could find the direct connection more convenient.

Epson has not provided Philippine-specific pricing, a local release schedule or details on availability through Epson Philippines dealers and service centers. Businesses interested in using the integration locally may need to confirm compatibility and access with Epson..
