Big battery, impressive durability, and practical everyday features. But is the HONOR 600S 5G the right smartphone for you?
The HONOR 600S 5G takes an interesting approach to the smartphone market. Instead of focusing on flagship performance or premium cameras, HONOR emphasizes what many Filipino users value most: battery capacity, durability, and everyday reliability.
In our latest TechBeatPH review, Fluffy takes a closer look at what this smartphone offers, where it excels, and where compromises become noticeable.
An 8,100mAh Battery Takes Center Stage
The HONOR 600S features an enormous 8,100mAh battery, easily its biggest selling point.
For commuters, students, delivery riders, and professionals constantly on the move, that capacity is especially appealing. The phone also supports 45W HONOR SuperCharge wired charging.
Durability is another highlight, with IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings providing additional reassurance for everyday use under their applicable testing conditions.
Performance and Display
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, paired with Adreno 613 graphics and MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.
It’s a practical combination for communication, browsing, social media, streaming, and everyday applications.
The large 6.872-inch TFT LCD provides plenty of viewing space, although its 1592 × 720 resolution is one of the compromises.
Those prioritizing display sharpness or premium OLED quality may find better alternatives elsewhere.
Cameras and Connectivity
The HONOR 600S includes a 50MP main camera and a 5MP selfie camera, with support for 1080p video recording.
While the rear camera offers useful photographic features, the modest selfie camera makes it clear that photography isn’t this smartphone’s strongest selling point.
Other practical features include 5G connectivity, NFC, dual SIM support, and stereo speakers.
My Take: TechBeatPH Silver Rating
The HONOR 600S strikes a solid balance of battery capacity, durability, and essential smartphone features.
However, its display resolution, modest front camera, and mainstream processor are compromises worth considering.
For its practical strengths and noticeable limitations, the HONOR 600S receives our TechBeatPH Silver Rating.
