Regional turnout and infrastructure focus

Tech Week Singapore 2026 brought together 38,000 participants and 720 international exhibitors at Sands Expo & Convention Centre on 29–30 September 2026, according to organiser CloserStill Media. The 12th edition focused on the systems supporting artificial intelligence, quantum computing and other emerging technologies across Asia.
The event was organised across five co-located shows: Cloud & AI Infrastructure, DevOps Live, Cyber Security World, Big Data & AI World, and Data Centre World. Together, the programmes featured more than 250 keynote and panel sessions over two days.
The opening address was delivered by Tan Kiat How, Singapore’s Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information. The release also cited a Minister’s Tour of companies and technologies participating across the co-located shows.
Cybersecurity and data-centre programmes

Among the listed activities was the Live Vehicle Cyber Hackathon, also identified as the Geely Global Automotive Cybersecurity Challenge. Held at Cyber Security World Asia across both days, the activity challenged participants to identify and test potential vulnerabilities in designated connected-vehicle systems.
A separate Sustainable Tropical Data Centre Testbed Tour took place at the National University of Singapore on 28 September 2026. The organiser said the tour gave participants a first-hand look at technologies being tested, validated and benchmarked in a live tropical operating environment. It welcomed 40 participants on-site, with the programme focused on more sustainable data-centre operations.
Data Centre World Asia also hosted the first OCP Southeast Asia Tech Day. The programme, themed “Architecting Inference: The OCP Path from Token Demand to Data Centre Design,” examined infrastructure for Southeast Asia’s AI inference workloads through 2030 and was grounded in open-compute principles. AI inference refers to the process of running trained AI models to produce outputs from new data.
Tokyo event announced
CloserStill Media and Nano-Opt Media, Inc. announced Data Centre World Tokyo 2027 at Tech Night 2026. The first Japan edition is scheduled for 7–8 December 2027 at Makuhari Messe, with the Japan Data Center Council as supporting partner.
Andy Kiwanuka, CloserStill Media’s managing director for Asia Pacific, said the launch reflects the need for infrastructure and collaboration as AI, cloud and the digital economy expand across Asia. He also said Japan’s data-centre market is forecast to almost double to more than US$32 billion by 2028. That forecast is a company-provided market claim and was not independently verified in the release.
The Tokyo event will combine CloserStill Media’s Data Centre World network with Nano-Opt Media’s IT and digital infrastructure community in Japan. Exhibitor applications are open for sectors including data-centre design and construction, power and energy, cooling, networking, cloud, security, operations, facilities and sustainability.
Tech Week Singapore 2026: next announced dates
Tech Week Singapore 2026 also included 15 dedicated luncheons across the two-day programme. The organiser said the luncheons reflected growing demand for high-value networking alongside the exhibitions and conference agenda. The release said the 2027 programme will continue providing a platform for industry conversations about the future of digital transformation.
The next edition, Tech Week Singapore 2027, is scheduled for 13–14 October 2027 at Sands Expo & Convention Centre. Exhibitor applications for Data Centre World Tokyo 2027 are currently open through the organiser’s website.
