Gangstar Mirage City has made a strong start in the Philippines, debuting at #1 on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store Top Charts during its launch week.
The free-to-play multiplayer open-world action game from Level Infinite and Gameloft reached the top spot across 52 countries and regions, including the Philippines, as players entered its fictional urban setting of Rooklyn City.
Gangstar Mirage City takes over Ayala Malls Manila Bay
The Philippine launch moved beyond digital storefronts with a three-day activation at Ayala Malls Manila Bay from August 21 to 23.

One of the event’s main attractions was a vehicle decked out in Gangstar Mirage City decals, which became a popular photo spot for attendees throughout the weekend.
Content creators and personalities including Chippu, Dlar, John Weak, Kcbae, and “Big Boss” Osas also appeared at the event, showcasing the game and interacting with players in its speakeasy-themed area.
The activation gave visitors an opportunity to experience the game’s multiplayer urban action while connecting the digital launch with an in-person community event.
Filipino creators explore Rooklyn City
The game’s creator campaign continued from August 22 to 24 through the All Gangstar Show, which brought creators HolyFather, 4Kings, Leomiho, and Paylstation into Rooklyn City.
Each creator documented their experience with Gangstar Mirage City through their own content. HolyFather’s livestream, in particular, reached #1 on TikTok’s Trending chart, adding another boost to the game’s launch campaign.

The creator push also extended to social media, with Kcbae, PaylStation, and other influencers sharing content featuring Gangstar Mirage City and its merchandise.
The Philippine creator challenge has the “Big Boss”
“Big Boss” Osas has also taken a central role in the game’s Philippine creator campaign through the Big Boss Challenge.
The event placed creators against one another in on-stream challenges hosted by Osas. The challenge has now concluded, with Gangstar Mirage City saying highlights will be released through its official social media channels.
With its early chart performance and creator-led activations, Gangstar Mirage City is continuing to build its Philippine player community following its launch.
The game is available as a free-to-play multiplayer open-world action title on iOS and Android.
