Vivo V15 and V15 Pro elevating selfie camera levels up

Vivo levels up the game by showing that it is possible to bring its pioneering premium features to midrange smartphones with Vivo V15 and Vivo V15 Pro. Notable of these features is the 32MP Elevating Selfie Camera, which was initially designed for Vivo’s flagship high-end smartphone, NEX.

Vivo opted out with the notch and strategically placed the pop-up or Elevating Selfie Camera conveniently on the top. Leveraging the AI (artificial intelligence) feature, the futuristic design allows the camera to detect when a user is taking a selfie and quickly exits selfie mode when done. Another use of AI is when a person or persons on the sides are cropped, the camera will immediately send a prompt to notify the camera user to switch to wide-angle mode so everyone’s face is captured.

In removing the notch, Vivo proves yet again that its flagship midrange mobile phones can level up further to allow an Ultra FullView™ Display. It maximizes the screen both for viewing online content-on-demand and taking group and landscape photos. It is supported by the Triple Camera that includes a 48-megapixel main sensor (shooting 12-megapixel photos by default), an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor, within the location of the Elevating Selfie Camera.

Vivo took into consideration how the smartphone’s moving parts will fare in today’s everyday use. The company was able to merge durability and user-friendliness. It successfully positioned the camera by redesigning the cutting of the Printed Circuit Board (PCB). It made it an extremely thin strip that can still cover the edges of the internal structure.

The In-Display Fingerprint Sensor is also one of the features that is easily identifiable with Vivo smartphones. The V15 Pro carries with it the fifth-generation fingerprint sensor technology that works seamlessly and without any glitches. The fingerprint sensor was able to immediately unlock the phone and take a quick selfie shot.

The V15 Pro runs on octa-core chipset Qualcomm 6150 Snapdragon processor, which is primarily designed for mid-range phones. It has a 3,700mAh battery, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and runs on Android 9 Pie. The VOOC (Voltage Open Loop Multi-step Constant-Current Charging) Flash Charge allows users to achieve 80-percent battery charging within minutes.

The Vivo V15 carries a suggested retail price of P17,999 while the V15Pro is at P23,999.
