Is the realme 10 a perfect 10?

It has been a while since we we reviewed a main line number realme phone. But recently we were given the opportunity to review their latest flagship phone the realme 10. Does the phone live up to the heritage of the realme number line or is it the perfect 10?

Looking on the outside design

Let’s start by examining the phone’s appearance. The phone’s sparkly gradient color, which is visible from the rear, kind of makes me think of an Amazing Car rainbow dark paint job.  If you choose this particular color scheme, your phone will undoubtedly stand out. There are, however, more subdued and lighter options if you’d prefer something that doesn’t draw as much notice.

Even without a case, the phone feels comfortable and gripping thanks to its flat sides. Although it has a luxury appearance, the rear feels somewhat plasticky. On the plus side, it’s less likely to attract fingerprints and won’t easily slip out of your hand as a result.

The 6.4-inch display on the front of the phone has minimal side bezels. The phone’s screen features a design that is quite typical of Android phones, although it does offer a distinct advantage thanks to its notch. Particularly, the notch is at the upper left corner, which is less distracting than the traditional middle-notch style.

Screen Quality and Display

The display, which has a 6.4-inch screen and a full HD+ (1080p) resolution, is an AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. While the refresh rate isn’t important for watching movies and TV shows, the AMOLED panel and high resolution are quite important since they provide brilliant colors and deep blacks on the screen. Additionally, it has a crisp, bright appearance, making it a wonderful phone for binge-watching your preferred movies and TV series.

The phone’s single bottom-firing speaker produces passable sound that is pretty loud thanks to the super volume setting, however sound quality does suffer slightly at the highest volume.

The realme 10 does, however, have one advantage over other mid-range phones: it still has a 3.5mm headphone port. As a result, you are not restricted to wireless solutions and can connect your wired headphones or external speakers. This is good news because improved viewing and listening experiences unquestionably need the use of headphones or speakers.

Gaming

The phone is powered by an 8GB RAM/MediaTek Helio G99 CPU combination. This chip, the newest in MediaTek’s gaming-focused Helio family, offers excellent gaming performance. And it performed well in our tests.

For instance, the realme 10 ran famous games like League of Legends: Wild Rift and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang without any problems, even at the highest visual settings. I even played Diablo immortal on marathon mode for the longest time.

The phone’s game mode, which includes helpful shortcuts and enhances the device’s performance for gaming, also contributes to enhancing the gaming experience.

Camera

The realme 10 includes two cameras: a 50MP primary camera.

First off, the main camera of the realme 10 takes excellent pictures, especially during the day. Images in particular are very detailed and colorful. These pictures are absolutely fit for social media, and you can even crop them and keep a lot of the detail.

The main camera of the Realme 10 also produces high-quality photographs in low light thanks to the Night Mode. The main camera of the Realme 10 can take pictures in this mode that are crisp and filled with detail. Nevertheless, the hues are a little bit too vivid.

The realme 10 is unique in that it doesn’t include an ultrawide camera. Since most smartphones, even those on a tight budget, have ultrawide cameras, this is unique. Despite the fact that some users hardly ever use it, it’s still a useful function to have if you want to snap a wider photo.
