That brings us to today nearing the end of 2018. Most of the major brands have already released their flagship model and 2018 was definitely the year of the notch where every major brand trying to reduce the size of the notch and sporting the latest Qualcomm processors.

But all the specs you always use google to search for them and watch videos on YouTube. We all made videos and content about the phone, but it also needs time to get the feel of the phone to see how it does in everyday situations. How does the phone feel when you are using every day?

OK let’s begin with what is still amazing the phone, the phone remains fast and responsive even after daily use and the abuse of daily wear with the dings and bangs you encounter in your pocket.

The phone easily loads the latest mobile games with ease and the battery life is still superb, light years ahead that my other daily driver which is a famous fruit brand, which is drained almost immediately after a day of surfing the net and watching videos.

The camera and the AI functions stills hold up against the other flagship phones which we launched later in the year, This just shows you the innovation that ASUS put behind the Zenfone phone 5. Actual the footage from the phone is very usable we actually have used it in our videos and it seamless with our cameras and in fact in some case is actually better.

Now if you ask me if the Gold rating we gave the phone 6 months ago still stands, our answer is definitely yes I still hold the rating we gave the phone. The phone is a bit long in the tooth as compared to the latest smartphones, we just can’t wait for next year for MWC when we can see what is next Innovation that will come from ASUS.
