A Bonsai Forest Sprouted inside SM North EDSA

Drop by at the “The Block” Atrium in SM North EDSA and you will find yourself being transported to a different world. A world of beautifully crafted works of art are on display for mall goers to admire. Ikebana works and suiseki viewing stones accentuates the already magnificent exhibit of 200 bonsai trees surrounding the exhibit area.

One step inside the exhibit and you will find yourself rubbing elbows with the who’s who in the global art scene. Masters from Japan, Taiwan, USA, and the Philippines graced the opening of the event last Friday, March 22, 2019.

SM Supermalls together with the Philippine Bonsai Society (PBSI), the Natural Stone Society of the Philippines, and the Ikebono Ikebana Society of Manila brought along select pieces from their collection to promote the three Japanese art forms and culture to Filipinos. The show will last until March 25, 2019, but to those who will not have the chance to see the exhibit in SM North EDSA, more shows nationwide will be announced very soon.
