Ynot Steps Down as SIBOL MLBB Coach Ahead of Asian Games Campaign

SIBOL has officially announced that world championship-winning coach Anthony “Ynot” Senedrin has stepped down as head coach of the national Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team.

In a statement posted on social media, SIBOL said Ynot stepped down “due to new personal commitments,” ending his tenure just months after topping the national qualifiers.

From ONIC’s Run to National Team Leadership

Ynot secured the SIBOL head coach role after steering ONIC Philippines to a dominant run in the national qualifiers. His résumé includes stints with Geek Fam PH and Smart Omega, before rising to prominence with winning titles with ONIC PH, including an MPL title and an M-Series championship .

Under his leadership, ONIC built a system centered on technical discipline and structured drafting, traits that carried to multiple titles and topping the November 2025 qualifiers.

Ynot currently serves as head coach of Natus Vincere in Indonesia.

Asian Games Qualifiers Reset

SIBOL confirmed it will open a new round of qualifiers to determine the next head coach as preparations continue for the Asian Games in Nagoya.

The federation framed the move as part of its “continued pursuit of Asian Games gold” as they look to grab the medal at the upcoming Games in September.

The Asian Games features MLBB for the first time since esports made it to the 2022 schedule. SIBOL, who has now announced rosters for the other titles, has yet to get a podium finish.

Reinforced Coaching Staff

Despite Ynot’s departure, SIBOL strengthened its MLBB coaching pool with three high-profile additions. They have happed Denver “Yeb” Miranda, former ONIC Philippines and ONIC Esports head coach. SIBOL also added Michael “Arcadia” Bocado, four-time MPL Malaysia and MSC champion coach with Selangor Red Giants

They have also added legendary coach Francis John “Ducky” Glindro, a two-time M-Series champion and current Team Falcons PH head coach.

More announcements about the MLBB national team qualifiers will be posted in the near future.
