Xiaomi Launches Pad 8 Series; Expands PH AIoT Ecosystem

Xiaomi has introduced the Xiaomi Pad 8 Series in the Philippines, alongside a refreshed portfolio of AIoT devices spanning mobility, wearables, audio, and smart accessories.

The new lineup includes the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 8, positioned as AI-powered productivity tablets designed for professionals and everyday users seeking lightweight yet high-performance devices.

Xiaomi Pad 8 Series: Slim, Powerful, and AI-Driven

Both tablets feature an 11.2-inch 3.2K display with up to 800 nits brightness and a 144Hz refresh rate, delivering sharp visuals and fluid performance for work and entertainment. Despite measuring just 5.75mm thin and weighing 485g, each device houses a 9,200mAh battery.

Running on Xiaomi HyperOS 3, the tablets introduce system-level AI via Xiaomi HyperAI, enhanced multitasking tools, and a refined interface with customizable widgets and updated desktop layouts. Productivity features include a PC-level browser experience, upgraded Workstation Mode, improved split-screen ratios, and integrated WPS Office PC for document editing.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, offering significant CPU and GPU performance gains. It supports 67W HyperCharge and includes a 50MP rear and 32MP front camera setup. Storage options go up to 512GB. A Matte Glass variant with nano-texture anti-reflective display technology is also available.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Pad 8 runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Mobile Platform, delivering strong multitasking performance with 45W turbo charging, a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, and up to 256GB of storage.

Complementing the tablets is the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro, a lightweight stylus with pressure sensitivity and gesture controls, along with dedicated keyboard and cover accessories to enhance productivity.

In the Philippines, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro (8GB + 256GB) is priced at ₱38,999, while the Xiaomi Pad 8 retails for ₱29,999. Both models are available in Pine Green, Gray, and Blue.

Expanded AIoT Lineup

Alongside the tablets, Xiaomi unveiled several ecosystem products now available locally.

The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Series introduces multiple variants, including the Ultra, Max, Pro, standard, and Lite models. The flagship Scooter 6 Ultra delivers up to 1200W peak power, a range of up to 75km, dual suspension, and enhanced safety features such as E-ABS and traction control, with smart connectivity via the Xiaomi Home app and Apple Find My integration.

The Xiaomi Watch 5 runs on Wear OS 6 by Google and is powered by Snapdragon W5 Gen 1. It features Google app integration, NFC payments via Google Wallet, and built-in Google Gemini support. The smartwatch offers up to six days of battery life in smart mode and up to 18 days in power saver mode.

Portable charging is addressed by the Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W, a 6mm-thin 5,000mAh magnetic power bank supporting 15W wireless charging and USB-C wired output.

For item tracking, Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi Tag, compatible with Apple Find My and Google’s Android Find Hub. It offers up to one year of battery life, IP67 protection, and privacy alerts against unwanted tracking.

Rounding out the lineup is the REDMI Buds 8 Pro, featuring a triple-driver configuration, Dolby Audio support, spatial audio modes, and up to 55dB active noise cancellation. The earbuds provide up to eight hours of playback on a single charge and up to 33 hours with the case.

All newly announced AIoT devices are available via Xiaomi’s official Shopee and Lazada stores, as well as authorized Xiaomi retail outlets nationwide.

With the Pad 8 Series and expanded AIoT ecosystem, Xiaomi continues strengthening its integrated smart hardware strategy in the Philippine market, targeting productivity-focused users while reinforcing its connected device ecosystem.
