Smart Brings Samsung Galaxy S26 Series to Subscribers Ahead of Launch

Smart Communications gave select subscribers early access to the Samsung Galaxy S26 Series through an exclusive launch event held at SM Megamall.

The initiative allowed Smart Postpaid customers to experience the latest flagship devices ahead of their official market release in the Philippines.

The event gathered early adopters and Samsung users, highlighting how telecom operators are increasingly playing a role in introducing new devices through curated experiences and bundled offerings.

Early Release Event Highlights Galaxy AI Features

During the event, attendees explored the Galaxy S26 Series’ AI capabilities through interactive demos and hands-on activities. These included image recognition challenges, AI-assisted photo editing, and camera-focused games designed to showcase the device’s imaging performance.

The showcase emphasized Samsung’s push toward AI-driven mobile experiences, positioning the Galaxy S26 lineup as more than just a hardware upgrade. Features such as Generative Edit and Photo Assist demonstrated how artificial intelligence is becoming central to content creation and everyday smartphone use.

Trade-In Program Expands Access to Flagship Devices

Starting March 27, Smart introduced a Samsung trade-in program exclusive to Postpaid and Infinity subscribers. The program allows customers to exchange their current devices for discounts of up to 45% when upgrading to the Galaxy S26 Series.

This initiative reflects a broader industry trend where telcos and manufacturers work together to lower the cost barrier for flagship smartphones. By combining trade-in value with installment plans, premium devices become more accessible to a wider base of users.

Smart Infinity Targets Premium Segment with Private Preview

Alongside the main launch, Smart also held a separate preview event for its premium subscriber tier, Smart Infinity. The gathering offered early access to the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra in a more exclusive setting.

The event featured curated experiences, personalized device handovers, and premium perks, reinforcing Smart Infinity’s positioning as a high-end service that combines technology with lifestyle offerings.

Why Early Access and Bundled Offers Matter

Smart’s early release strategy highlights how telecom providers are evolving beyond connectivity to become key channels for device adoption. Exclusive events, trade-in programs, and bundled plans create added value for subscribers while helping brands like Samsung expand reach in competitive markets.

For consumers, these offerings provide earlier access to new technology, more flexible upgrade paths, and better overall value. As smartphones become more expensive and feature-rich, partnerships between telcos and device makers are expected to play a bigger role in how users adopt flagship devices in the Philippines.
