MOONTON Games, MESF and ESI Confirm Eight Teams for MPL Malaysia Partnership Era

MOONTON Games, together with the Malaysia Esports Federation and Esports Integrated, has unveiled the eight teams selected for the new Partnership Program in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Malaysia (MPL MY).

The announcement marks the start of a new long-term structure for MPL Malaysia, which will feature a fixed group of partner organizations beginning with Season 17.

Eight Partner Teams Announced

The confirmed teams are:

  • Selangor Red Giants (SRG)
  • Team Vamos (VMS)
  • Team Rey (TR)
  • Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ)
  • Bigetron MY (BTRM)
  • All Combo (AC)
  • Invictus Gaming (IG)
  • Team Flash (TF)

The programmed brings together a mix of Malaysian organizations and international brands competing under the MPL Malaysia banner.

Announcement Event in Kuala Lumpur

The reveal event, powered by CelcomDigi, was held at the MSN Esports Hub in Kuala Lumpur. Speakers included Krystal Tan, Head of Business Development for Malaysia Esports at MOONTON Games; Muhammad Naim Al Amin, President of MESF; and Ahmed Faris Amir, CEO of ESI.

MOONTON Games described the Partnership Program as a structural shift aimed at strengthening league stability and long-term growth. The initiative supports competitive development while creating stronger commercial and ecosystem opportunities for teams and stakeholders.

MESF stated that the program represents a milestone for Malaysian esports, aligning with broader efforts to position the country as a regional esports hub.

“It speaks to our collective ambition to position Malaysia as a regional esports powerhouse, and MESF is fully committed to supporting that journey alongside MOONTON Games, as we work towards our national vision of building a sustainable esports ecosystem for generations to come,” said MESF’s Al Naim.

ESI, representing Malaysia’s Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), said the initiative complements government efforts to develop a structured and sustainable esports industry.

“Initiatives like this strengthen Malaysian esports and create pathways for young Malaysians to pursue esports as a sustainable career,” said Amir. “ESI looks forward to seeing its impact, and we congratulate the eight teams on being part of this new era.”

More exciting announcements to arrive soon

With its eight partner teams confirmed, MPL Malaysia enters Season 17 under the new framework. MPL Malaysia will announce additional details about the upcoming season at a later date.

Organizers will also announce the rosters of the eight teams, along with the venue, tournament dates, and ticketing details, in the near future.
