Manila International Auto Show 2026 Opens with ‘Powering Mobility’ Theme

The Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2026 officially opened today at the World Trade Center Metro Manila and Philippine Trade Training Center, spotlighting the latest innovations in automotive technology.

Now in its 21st edition, the event highlights the shift toward electric vehicles (EVs), sustainable transport, and advanced mobility solutions.

“Powering Mobility” sets the tone for industry innovation

This year’s MIAS embraces the theme “Powering Mobility”, reflecting the show’s focus on next-generation automotive technologies and meaningful collaboration between local and international brands. The theme underscores how the Philippine automotive sector is adapting to emerging trends, including electrification and connected mobility.

Opening remarks were delivered by Joseph L. Ang, Founding Chairman of Worldbex Services International (WSI), emphasizing the resilience of the industry amid challenges and the role of MIAS in advancing new energy vehicles, EV infrastructure, and commercial mobility solutions.

Star-studded ceremony and industry participation

The opening ceremony was hosted by TV personality James Deakin and attended by key industry and government figures, including:

Over 500 vehicles and 25 brands on display

Visitors can explore more than 500 vehicles from 25 participating brands, spanning traditional internal combustion models, hybrid vehicles, and cutting-edge EVs. MIAS 2026 features interactive exhibits, vehicle launches, and immersive experiences aimed at connecting consumers, industry leaders, and innovators.

Highlights include EV showcases, commercial transport innovations, and exhibits promoting sustainable mobility and smart infrastructure. The event offers attendees the chance to experience firsthand how automotive technology is evolving in the Philippines and across the region.
