LG Electronics Philippines Opens 2026 LG Ambassador Challenge Applications
LG Electronics Philippines has opened applications for the 2026 LG Ambassador Challenge, inviting changemakers, community leaders, and organizations nationwide to submit project proposals focused on supporting underserved communities, with particular emphasis on medical aid and community healthcare.
Now entering its fifth year locally, the LG Ambassador Challenge is the company’s flagship corporate social responsibility program in the Philippines. Launched in 2022 in partnership with Korea Friends of Hope International (KFHI), the initiative provides funding and implementation support to community-driven projects designed to address pressing social needs through sustainable and inclusive solutions.
Focus on Medical Aid and Community Healthcare
For the 2026 cycle, LG Electronics Philippines is prioritizing proposals that directly address healthcare gaps in underserved communities. Eligible projects must demonstrate long-term sustainability, strong community participation, and measurable social impact, particularly in improving access to medical services and healthcare support.
Project submissions and selection will run from February 10 to February 28, 2026.
The initiative aligns with LG’s global “Life’s Good” philosophy, which emphasizes improving quality of life through innovation and responsible corporate action. By empowering local leaders and organizations, the program aims to encourage communities to actively identify challenges and implement solutions tailored to their specific needs.
Building Sustainable Community Impact
LG Electronics Philippines Managing Director Nakhyun Seong said the program reflects the company’s commitment to meaningful, long-term community engagement.
“Through the LG Ambassador Challenge, we are able to work closely with communities and partners to support initiatives that create real and sustainable change,” Seong said. “By empowering individuals and organizations with resources and support, we hope to help build better lives and stronger communities.”
Track Record of Community-Based Projects
Since its launch, the LG Ambassador Challenge has supported a range of initiatives across healthcare, education, infrastructure, and livelihood development.
In 2025, the program backed Programa para sa Alagang Ina at Sanggol, a maternal and child healthcare initiative that expanded services at Barangay Tres Cruces in Tanza, Cavite. The project doubled the health center’s capacity, enabling it to accommodate up to 10 patients daily.
The 2024 winner, Life’s Good Library On the Go in Nagcarlan, Laguna, introduced a mobile library designed to deliver books and learning materials to children in underserved areas.
Earlier projects supported in 2023 included the installation of solar streetlights in Calauan, Laguna; improved access to clean water in Lawaguin, Laguna; and community livelihood programs in Paliparan. The inaugural 2022 winners included Ride for Hope, which provided an ambulance for pediatric cancer patients in Manila, and Roof for Siargao, a post-disaster recovery initiative.

LG Electronics Philippines is encouraging non-profit organizations, advocates, and community leaders with innovative proposals in medical aid and community healthcare to participate in the 2026 LG Ambassador Challenge.
Applicants are required to submit a completed entry form, available for download through LG’s official channels. Entries and inquiries may be sent via email to LG Electronics Philippines for evaluation and further coordination.
