GAC Philippines Holds Dealer Conference; Previews GS8 HEV, 2026 Lineup
GAC International Philippines, Inc. convened its nationwide dealer network on February 27 for the 2026 GAC Philippines Dealer Conference. This marks the first gathering under the brand’s direct, self-operated structure in the country.
Held under the theme “Building Success Together as ONE GAC,” the event formalized the company’s transition to a wholly owned local subsidiary setup — now managed directly by GAC headquarters.
Shift to Direct Operations in the Philippines
The conference follows the establishment of GAC International Philippines, Inc. as a fully owned local arm of the Chinese automaker, signaling tighter control over operations.
Under the new structure, GAC aims to deliver faster parts availability and improved aftersales support. They also target closer coordination with dealers nationwide and standardized sales and service processes
The strategy aligns with the company’s “ONE GAC” philosophy — One Brand, One Channel, and One Service — designed to create consistent customer experience across its dealer network.

Dealer principals from Metro Manila, North Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao attended the event, culminating in a dealer agreement signing ceremony.
Steven Wang, Senior Vice President of GAC International, said the move to self-operation reflects the brand’s long-term commitment.
“It also means we will invest more resources, strengthen the local team, and fully support all partners for win-win growth,” Wang said.
2026 Product Lineup Preview

Highlighted nameplates include GS8 HEV, AION UT, HYPTEC HT, AION V, AION Y Plus, E8, and GN8 PHEV

GS8 HEV to Open for Orders in March 2026
GAC is placing particular emphasis on the GS8 HEV as part of its hybrid push in the Philippines.

Positioned as a premium seven-seater crossover SUV, the GS8 HEV pairs its updated exterior design with the Mega Wave THS hybrid system. The vehicle runs on a 2.0-liter turbocharged hybrid powertrain engineered for smoother power delivery and improved fuel efficiency.
According to initial figures shared, the system delivers a maximum output of 40 kW and 121 Nm of torque
GAC Philippines also teased an upcoming GS8 HEV Limited Edition, which it plans to market as a flagship hybrid variant.
The GS8 HEV is expected to begin accepting orders in March 2026. Final pricing and full specifications will be announced closer to its retail launch.
Dealer Network Expansion and Market Positioning
With direct headquarters oversight and a refreshed product lineup, GAC Philippines is aiming to strengthen its foothold in the competitive local SUV and electrified vehicle segments.
Customers can visit authorized GAC dealerships nationwide or the official Philippine website to register interest in upcoming models.
