Team Falcons PH and ONIC Philippines strengthen their hold among the top teams in MPL Philippines as the league reached the halfway point of the regular season on Friday.
The Green Falcons pulled off an impressive fightback against TNC Pro Team, while the Super Family made quick work of Smart Omega, with both matches ending in 2-0 sweeps.
It was a Marco “SuperMarco” Requitiano show, as he racked up seven kills and 11 assists across two games. The Falcons gold laner also impressed by dying just once while using Granger and Moskov.
TNC controlled most of Game 1 until a crucial takedown on Frediemar “3Mar” Serafico proved costly. From there, TNC split apart, allowing Team Falcons to pick them off one by one while only losing a single hero in return.

Game 2 unfolded differently, as TNC traded kills with Team Falcons for 19 minutes. However, with Falcons securing superior map control early, TNC found themselves on the losing end near the 19-minute mark.
3Mar and Justine “Zaida” Palma were caught out against all five Falcons players and went down, while the rest of TNC’s attempt to recover fell short.
Team Falcons, now 5-1, will wrap up the first round of the regular season against AP.Bren on Saturday. TNC, now 1-5, will also close out their first-round campaign on the same day against Twisted Minds PH.
Roamer Borris “Brusko” Parro, meanwhile, led ONIC Philippines with a combined 29 assists while only dying six times.
ONIC needed just 11 minutes to secure a dominant Game 1 win, dismantling Smart Omega’s tank jungler lineup. Brusko’s Kalea finished with a 0/3/15 line, while Frince “SuperFrince” Ramirez posted a flawless 9/0/8 on Zhuxin.

Smart Omega failed to bounce back in Game 2, falling behind early. James “Jeymz” Gloria’s EXP lane Valentina struggled at 0/5/4, while Clayton “Savero” Kiswanto’s Clint delivered an impressive 7/0/7 performance.
ONIC Philippines, now at 4-2, will challenge Team Liquid PH’s undefeated streak on Sunday. Meanwhile, Smart Omega, down to 1-5, will face Aurora Gaming on Saturday.
