EVANGELION: Δ CROSS REFLECTIONS Reveals New Details at 30th Anniversary Festival

New information about EVANGELION: Δ CROSS REFLECTIONS was unveiled during a special event stage at the EVANGELION 30th Anniversary festival held at Yokohama Arena on February 23, 2026.

Developer Pixelity hosted the presentation at the “EVA EXTRA 30” lounge within the venue of EVANGELION:30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION, sharing updates on the upcoming XR title based on Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Director Outlines XR Concept and Gameplay Systems

Game director MK Choi opened the session by outlining the project’s core concept, describing it as a “crossing experience” where real-world players and the world of Evangelion intersect within the same timeline through XR technology.

Choi introduced the game’s worldview, key systems, and two distinct play modes. He also highlighted controller-free interaction powered by hand-tracking technology, allowing players to perform actions using hand and finger movements instead of traditional controllers.

The presentation focused on how XR features are being used to create a more immersive gameplay experience set within the Evangelion universe.

Voice Cast Shares Recording Insights

Following the director’s segment, four voice actors portraying newly created characters appeared on stage: Gakuto Kajiwara (Martin Dason Holloway), Hana Hishikawa (Rimi Okada), Tasuku Hatanaka (Tomohito Yagi), and Manaka Iwami (Erisa Nozaki).

The cast discussed their impressions of the characters and shared behind-the-scenes stories from recording sessions. Having played the demo in advance, several actors commented on the immersive quality of the experience, including seeing the world of Evangelion recreated through XR.

Global Hands-On Events Planned

Pixelity confirmed that global hands-on events for EVANGELION: Δ CROSS REFLECTIONS are planned throughout 2026. Details regarding regions and schedules will be announced through the game’s official social media channels.

The game is set in Tokyo-3 and NERV HQ, where players assume the role of a NERV trainee. The experience blends interactions with established Evangelion characters and newly introduced ones, with player choices influencing story progression.

Demo Booth Draws Crowds at Anniversary Event

During the three-day anniversary festival, Pixelity operated a booth offering demo sessions of EVANGELION: Δ CROSS REFLECTIONS through an advance lottery system.

Gameplay footage from demo participants was broadcast on a large monitor at the booth, drawing attention from attendees and generating steady foot traffic throughout the event.

EVANGELION: Δ CROSS REFLECTIONS remains in development, with further updates expected later this year.
