ATMOSFAR Releases First Playable Demo for Steam Next Fest

ATMOSFAR has launched its first playable demo as part of Steam Next Fest, offering players an early look at the sci-fi survival adventure ahead of its planned Steam Early Access release later this year.

The demo introduces the opening hours of the game, set in the Caligo Cays region, a chain of floating islands on the alien planet Tycos.

Exploring Caligo Cays and Tycos

In ATMOSFAR, players explore a world of gravity-defying islands while managing survival systems both on foot and in the air. The Steam Next Fest demo allows players to traverse rugged terrain, gather resources, and begin establishing an outpost on the uncharted planet.

Environmental systems play a key role, with players encountering extreme weather conditions, including thunderstorms, sandstorms, and the hazardous Firesky phenomenon.

Players pilot the Utility Wasp, a flying vessel used for transportation, scavenging, and early resource management.

Survival, Co-Op, and Mobile Base Systems

ATMOSFAR is positioned as a story-driven survival sandbox that combines aerial exploration with base-building and resource management mechanics.

The full game will support solo play as well as 2–4 player cooperative multiplayer. Players can operate different Wasp-class ships, including utility and cargo-focused variants, and later manage the Cloud Cruiser, a customizable mobile airbase designed to support long-term survival and progression.

The demo provides an initial look at core systems, including exploration, weather survival, early crafting, and vehicle piloting.

ATMOSFAR is currently available to wishlist on Steam, with Early Access scheduled for later in 2026.
