OPPO Find X10 Series set for October 21 global launch

OPPO has scheduled the OPPO Find X10 Series global launch for October 21 in Mallorca, Spain, with imaging hardware and video capture as the central pitch. The announcement matters because the company is making unusually broad sensor and recording claims ahead of the full specification reveal: a dual-200MP setup on the Find X10 and a triple-200MP array on the Find X10 Pro Max.

Those claims still need the context that OPPO has not released full camera specifications, pricing or market availability. Sensor resolution alone does not establish image quality; lens design, sensor size, processing, autofocus and video stabilization all affect results. The October 21 event is therefore the point at which buyers can assess the hardware configuration beyond the headline megapixel counts.

Camera and video claims need closer scrutiny

OPPO says the Find X10’s Dual 200MP Camera System was co-developed with Hasselblad. For the Find X10 Pro Max, it claims an industry-first Triple 200MP Camera System, placing 200MP sensors behind the ultra-wide, main and telephoto cameras. The company has not detailed the sensors, focal lengths, apertures or image-processing behaviour in the announcement.

The company also says its LUMO True Image Engine combines computational photography with colour information from a True Color Camera and the tone rendering of Master Mode. OPPO describes the intended result as authentic detail, accurate colour and natural tone. These remain manufacturer claims, not independently verified camera results.

Video is another notable part of the OPPO Find X10 Series announcement. OPPO says all three rear cameras on the Pro Max support 4K at 120fps and 8K at 30fps, while the Find X10 offers those capabilities on its two 200MP cameras. It also introduces Open Gate Capture, which the company says uses the sensor’s full imaging area to leave more room for reframing footage into landscape or portrait formats during editing. Whether those modes are available with equivalent quality, crop factors and stabilization across cameras remains undisclosed.

Chipsets, battery and software

OPPO identifies the Find X10 chipset as the MediaTek Dimensity 9600M. It says the Pro Max will be among the first phones using the 2nm MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro, which it claims brings gains in performance and power efficiency. No benchmark figures, thermal details or memory configurations were included.

Both phones are listed with an 8,000mAh OPPO Silicon-Carbon Battery, although OPPO notes that selected markets will receive a 7,150mAh battery. The company claims up to two days of typical use and more than 80% retained capacity after five years of typical use. That battery-health figure comes from OPPO Lab, and the company notes that real-world results vary with settings, usage and environmental conditions.

The devices will run ColorOS 17, including Living Flow Design and AI Mind Pilot with Agent Mode, which OPPO says can work with files and photos to complete complex tasks from a single prompt. The release does not explain which tasks, languages or markets will support those functions.

On design, OPPO describes a new Borderless Design with One-Piece Sculpted Glass flowing into the camera module. The Find X10 is named in Glacier Blue and Mist Grey, while the Pro Max is listed in Titanium Grey and Luna White. The latter includes a matte silver camera island, dual flash, knurled detailing and Hasselblad’s orange accent ring.

For Philippine buyers, pricing and local availability remain unannounced. The practical question for the OPPO Find X10 Series is not just the 200MP count, but how OPPO substantiates its camera, video, battery and AI claims when it publishes the complete details on October 21.
