The screeching tires became the soundtrack of the moment, as the full traction of drag race cars\u2014leaving marks on the ground and exhausting smoke, \u00a0gave the crowd an experience of a \u2018need for speed\u2019 movie-like scene when 4S1M kicked off its first ever Speed Fest in Clark International Speedway last December 16, 2017.<\/p>\n

The 4S1M Speed Fest was organized in celebration of 4S1M-Yamaha Racing Team\u2019s series of winnings all throughout 2017. \u00a0Mark Tan, owner of 4S1M admitted that the whole team was very excited to carry through this flagship event. \u201cThis is our first time pa lang to do an event, a big step for us,\u201d Mark Tan proudly shared. \u201cWe also hope to organize the Speed Fest annually,\u201d he added. From the pre-planning to actual execution of the Speed Fest, the team made sure that everything is in order. The crews set up the stage early in the morning. The 4S1M booth, filled with motor engines and racing parts on display, was also installed in the area.<\/p>\n

Soon, the flock of people arrived to witness a legal drag racing brought by the pride of City of Malolos Bulacan\u2014MVB Cup Hari ng Mio. The participants, who came from all over the country, positioned themselves carrying their dialed in motorcycles and blazing determination in the drag strip. As the riders fired up their engines, the strip heard an audible cheer from the crowd\u2014adding more to the adrenaline rush of the moment. Meanwhile, the car drifting and Touge battle by Dr. Drift brimmed a \u2018burnout\u2019\u2014giving the fans a movie scene of noisy spinning tires and full tractions as the smoke engulfs the track.<\/p>\n

Hours after all of the intense drag racing, darkness soon covered the circuit at night. The Clark International Speedway was transformed into a mosh pit of raving racing cars and motorcycles, flashing its striking neon-like colors of headlights and wheels rims, synced into the beat of a\u00a0 \u2018fast and the furious\u2019 type of music. Cars and motorsports fans and enthusiasts feasted their eyes on the motorcycle show by Run 17\u2019s and the car show by Formula1. From pickup trucks showing off tough wheels, thunderous speaker systems boarding SUVs and sedans, classic engines of retro cars, to a modern and sleek physique of motorcycles, the Speed Fest by 4S1M clearly did not disappoint the attendees. Following the exhibition, victors of the motorcycle drag race, car drifting and touge battles were awarded with trophies and cash prizes. Extending the excitement of everyone, the raffle draw took place wherein an orange Yamaha Aerox motorcycle for the grand prize, a 45\u201d Flat Screen TV for the second prize, and a refrigerator for the third, were all taken home by the lucky winners.<\/p>\n
