Capcom<\/a> is bringing the local fighting game community together this August to celebrate the debut of Yasmine, the first Filipina character in the Street Fighter franchise, through an official Street Fighter 6<\/a> community event in Makati City.<\/p>\n

Scheduled for August 9, 2026, the event will feature a competitive tournament, gameplay showcase, community activities, exclusive merchandise, and giveaways ahead of Yasmine’s arrival in Street Fighter 6.<\/p>\n

Yasmine becomes Street Fighter’s first Filipina fighter<\/h4>\n

Yasmine headlines Street Fighter 6’s Year 4 roster, becoming the franchise’s first playable character from the Philippines.<\/p>\n

According to Capcom, Yasmine was trained in Eskrima by her grandfather alongside her older brother before embarking on a journey to find her missing sibling. Her fighting style incorporates high-speed Eskrima techniques while wielding a Karambit knife, giving the roster a new weapon-based combat style.<\/p>\n

She joins the upcoming Year 4 lineup alongside Arjun, Tifa from the Final Fantasy VII Remake series, and Bosch.<\/p>\n

Her release will also coincide with a major balance update affecting the entire Street Fighter 6 roster.<\/p>\n

Community tournament headlines launch celebration<\/h4>\n

The Official Street Fighter 6 “Yasmine” Community Event will be held at Salud! by Primera Bar & Restaurant in Palanan, Makati.<\/p>\n

The event will take place on August 9, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The tournament will follow a double-elimination format, beginning with best-of-three matches before shifting to best-of-five matches during the Top 8 finals.<\/p>\n

In addition to the tournament, attendees can participate in free-play sessions, networking activities, and watch an official gameplay presentation showcasing Yasmine.<\/p>\n

Exclusive merchandise and giveaways<\/h4>\n

Capcom will also distribute exclusive event merchandise while supplies last.<\/p>\n

Attendees may receive an official Street Fighter 6 Yasmine event T-shirt, an exclusive Yasmine lanyard, limited-edition Yasmine keychains, themed food and refreshments, and premium raffle prizes.<\/p>\n
