But by 2025, Smart Omega saw key figures leave, roster changes pile up, and their playoff hopes fade into obscurity.<\/p>\n<p>This season, however, the Barangay rebuilt its foundation\u2014and finally earned its return to the postseason.<\/p>\n<p>Smart Omega ended their two-season playoff drought after defeating Team Falcons PH, 2-1, on Saturday to secure a spot in the MPL Philippines Season 17 playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>Match MVP Kenneth &#8220;Netskie&#8221; Barro led Omega\u2019s bounce-back effort after a Game 2 collapse, helping the team secure its crucial sixth win of the season. The gold laner averaged 2.66 kills, 0.66 deaths, and 5.33 assists across the three-game series, highlighted by a six-kill, six-assist performance in Game 3.<\/p>\n<p>Coach Hans &#8220;Wuraaaah&#8221; Solano credited the victory to lessons learned from their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techbeatph.com\/wproot\/onic-clinch-mpl-ph-s17-playoffs\/\">previous loss against Team Liquid PH<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMarami kaming nakita sa game naming against Team Liquid PH na natutunan namin. Kyle also bounced back with a 5\/1\/4 performance on Suyou.<\/p>\n<p>Omega clinched the series in Game 3 despite fighting at a numbers disadvantage in a 4v5 clash. Rookie <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techbeatph.com\/wproot\/tracyy-debut-win-falcons-end-liquid-streak\/\">Tracy &#8220;Tracyy&#8221; Damasco<\/a> once again stepped up for the Minds, averaging 1.0 kills, 3.5 deaths, and 11.5 assists across the series.<\/p>\n<p>League leaders Team Liquid PH (12-1), meanwhile, proved too much for TNC Pro Team (2-10), completing another dominant sweep. Karl Gabriel &#8220;KarlTzy&#8221; Nepomuceno continued his stellar campaign despite already holding the record for most minutes played in MPL PH history, averaging 11 kills, 0.5 deaths, and three assists across just 24 combined minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Twisted Minds will next look to secure their playoff spot against a Falcons squad still chasing the top seed.
