Samsung makes TV history once again by pushing the boundaries of technology with QLED 8K, now allowing consumers to watch video content in the highest resolution this category has ever seen.<\/p>\n

Created by adam&eveNYC, Samsung\u2019s \u201cMaking History\u201d QLED 8K TV commercial campaign features moon landing footage licensed from the groundbreaking \u2018APOLLO 11\u2019 documentary. Directed and produced by Todd Douglas Miller, the documentary was created from newly-discovered, never-before-seen 70mm archival footage and more than 11,000 hours of uncatalogued audio recordings from NASA and the National Archives. <\/p>\n

\u2018APOLLO 11\u2019 is a cinematic event that takes viewers on NASA\u2019s historic mission led by astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins, that first put man on the moon 50 years ago.<\/p>\n

Samsung\u2019s cross-platform campaign with CNN aligns the new era of 8K QLED picture quality together with the technical feat of the film\u2019s extraordinary production. This includes branded content produced by CNN\u2019s brand studio Courageous for Samsung\u2019s QLED 8K TV, which features retired astronaut Scott Kelly narrating a personal experience from his space travel.<\/p>\n

Kelly, who spent a total of 340 days in space, got the chance to relive this once-in-a-lifetime experience through upscaled footage viewed on a Samsung QLED 8K. \u201cWhat I\u2019m looking at brings back the exact images that I saw in space, even the scratches on the windows can be seen. The resolution and clarity of this 8K TV are simply amazing. The amount of detail makes it seem like I\u2019m back there in space,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Samsung has also sponsored a three-part digital video series tied to the anniversary.
