Google is expanding access to Pomelli, an experimental AI-powered marketing tool from Google Labs designed to help small businesses create professional marketing campaigns quickly and affordably.
Built with AI technology developed alongside Google DeepMind, Pomelli aims to simplify digital marketing for entrepreneurs by automatically transforming a company’s website into a full set of branded marketing materials.
The tool arrives as micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) continue to drive economic growth in the Philippines. According to the Department of Trade and Industry, MSMEs make up more than 99% of business establishments in the country and account for over 60% of total employment.
However, many small businesses struggle to maintain a consistent online presence due to limited resources and marketing expertise. Pomelli attempts to close that gap through AI-assisted campaign creation.
Turning a Website Into a Marketing Kit
Pomelli works by analyzing a business’s website to understand its visual identity and messaging style.
Once a user enters a website URL, the AI scans the site and extracts elements such as color palette, typography, and tone of voice. The platform then builds what it calls a “Business DNA” profile, which becomes the foundation for marketing content across digital platforms.
Using this information, Pomelli generates campaign ideas and ready-to-use creative assets within seconds. These can include captions and visual content tailored for social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
The goal is to allow entrepreneurs—whether running a neighborhood café or an online boutique—to quickly launch campaigns without hiring creative agencies or learning professional design tools.

Lowering Barriers to Digital Marketing
For solo entrepreneurs and small teams, producing consistent marketing materials often becomes a major challenge. Pomelli attempts to address this by automating the creative process while maintaining a brand’s visual identity.
By removing design and technical barriers, the tool enables businesses to produce marketing campaigns faster and scale their online presence more efficiently.
Why It Matters
Digital visibility is becoming increasingly important as the Philippines accelerates its push toward e-commerce and digital transformation. For many MSMEs, the ability to create consistent, professional content online can determine whether they reach new customers beyond their local communities.
Tools like Pomelli could help level the playing field by giving smaller businesses access to AI-powered marketing capabilities that were previously available only to larger companies with dedicated creative teams. As the country’s digital economy continues to expand, accessible tools for content creation may play a key role in helping Filipino entrepreneurs compete online.
