HUAWEI partnered with the University of Santo Tomas’ official broadcasting arm, Tiger Media Network, during Onboarding Week to present how the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 S 2026 can support different parts of student life. The collaboration in Manila focused on coursework, content creation, group projects, presentations, and other campus responsibilities that require students to shift between roles. The release presents this as a way to connect productivity, creativity, and collaboration within one device.
The partnership positions the tablet as part of a 4-in-1 setup for students moving between academic and creative tasks. According to HUAWEI, the experience reflects how Thomasians balance classroom requirements with organizational activities and other responsibilities. It also highlights how learning, creative work, and extracurricular pursuits can happen alongside one another during the student day.
MatePad 11.5 S 2026 for academic and creative work
The collaboration highlighted several use cases, including taking notes, organizing coursework, creating content, collaborating on group projects, and preparing presentations. HUAWEI said the setup is intended to bridge classwork and creative work through one device rather than separating those activities across different tools.
The 4-in-1 configuration includes the Smart Magnetic Keyboard, Bluetooth mouse, and HUAWEI M-Pencil (3rd Gen). HUAWEI says these accessories can support report writing through PC-Level WPS Office, graphic creation, storyboard sketching, and other visual projects. The setup is described as useful across different types of work, from written assignments to visual projects.
The tablet also features a PaperMatte Display with anti-glare technology. HUAWEI says the display reduces harsh reflections and eye strain during extended reading or module review, while its paper-like surface provides a more tactile experience for drawing and note-taking. The GoPaint app is positioned for tasks such as character design, illustration, and rendering graphics. The release connects these features with study marathons and creative workflows.
AI tools for notes, research, and presentations
For academic workloads, HUAWEI says WPS AI in PC-Level WPS Office can condense lengthy PDF research papers, generate structured PowerPoint presentations, and create Excel charts. These functions are presented as tools to help students begin research, presentation, and spreadsheet deliverables, covering several stages from reviewing material to preparing outputs.
HUAWEI Notes includes a Speech-to-Text feature that the company says can capture lectures in real time. The built-in AI Tutor is also described as a tool for clarifying topics from a student’s study materials. The release does not provide additional details on supported languages, system requirements, or limits for these features.
Back-to-school pricing and availability
During the ongoing Back-to-School promotional period, the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 S 2026 is included in the HUAWEI MatePad Family, which starts at PHP 33,999. The release says buyers can receive up to PHP 33,886 worth of freebies depending on the model. Bundles include a complimentary one-year WPS AI Membership, Bluetooth Mouse, and, depending on the package, accessories such as the HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard and HUAWEI M-Pencil.
HUAWEI also says 0% interest installment plans of up to 24 months are available through participating banks, subject to applicable terms.
