Acer is positioning the Acer Googlebook 14 specifications around a new Googlebook OS category built for Gemini Intelligence and Android phone integration. The company describes the 14-inch model as the industry’s first convertible Googlebook, combining a 360-degree hinge, touch input and conventional laptop controls. That framing matters because the usefulness of its headline software features will depend on compatible Android hardware, setup and regional availability rather than the chassis alone.
For users who move files, apps and tasks between a phone and laptop, Acer highlights “Continue On,” which is intended to continue Android phone tasks on the computer, and Cast My Apps, which brings supported Android phone apps to the laptop without installation. Acer says both are part of a workflow based on context-aware suggestions. However, Cast My Apps requires setup and supported Android devices running Android 17 or later. Acer also notes that some features vary by country and language, are limited to users aged 18 and above, or may require a subscription for higher usage.
Hardware priorities
On paper, the Acer Googlebook 14 specifications are unusually high-end for a device Acer places in this new category. Configurations go up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 355 processor with an NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS, 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD. These components should provide the hardware headroom Acer says is needed for Gemini Intelligence, although the announcement does not provide independent performance results or detailed workload comparisons.
The 14-inch OLED touch panel has a 2880×1800 resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 500-nit brightness and 100% DCI-P3 coverage, according to Acer. It supports USI 2.0 styluses, though the stylus is sold separately. Other listed hardware includes a 5MP camera with a physical privacy shutter, triple microphones, dual upward-facing speakers, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, one Thunderbolt 4 port and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports.
The aluminum-magnesium unit measures 13.9mm thick and weighs 1.14kg. Acer rates its 71Wh battery for up to 16 hours of web browsing or 14 hours of local video playback, with fast charging claimed to reach 80% in an hour. Those are manufacturer test figures, not a guarantee of real-world runtime. The company also lists MIL-STD 810H certification and hinges designed for 20,000 open-and-close cycles.
Philippine availability remains unclear
Acer has not provided Philippine pricing, local availability or a launch date. Its release says exact specifications, prices and availability will vary by region. The included 12-month Google AI Pro offer is also limited to eligible users in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States; the Philippines is not listed.
