For Lenovo, smart logistics starts well before product shipment. It’s embedded in forecasting, procurement, and production strategy. Over the past eight years, the company has invested heavily in digital transformation, especially in integrating AI to streamline operations.

Speaking to this shift, Che Min Tu, SVP and Group Operations Officer, put it simply: “To build the kind of technology our customers expect, we need to lead by example.”

That means AI-driven planning tools, automated production schedules, and smarter collaboration platforms for suppliers and manufacturers. Lenovo’s AI agents don’t just analyze—they assist, resolve, and learn dynamically. It’s tech with purpose, not just automation for the sake of productivity graphs.

Lenovo’s internal engine includes 75 researchers, 22 PhDs, and a unified approach to problem-solving. This team developed proprietary AI tools tailored to supply chain challenges: optimizing decision-making, accelerating responsiveness, and ensuring scalability across global markets.

These systems are designed not just for digital fluency, but for logistics resilience. Planning accuracy is no longer a hope—it’s a deliverable. Intelligent scheduling reacts in real time, and deep analytics help teams anticipate bottlenecks before they emerge.

Lenovo’s supply chain spans 30 manufacturing sites in 11 global markets, including hubs across Asia Pacific, EMEA, and the Americas. It’s an infrastructure built to flex—one that’s both global in capability and regional in execution.

This year, the company broke ground on a new manufacturing site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in partnership with Alat. Operational by 2026, it’s expected to produce millions of laptops, desktops, and servers for the MENA region—reducing lead times and reinforcing Lenovo’s regional agility.
