Four New Maps, One Massive MLBB Patch Update
Four New Maps, One Massive MLBB Patch Update
Project NEXT 2025: A Tactical Reset for the Land of Dawn
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang isn’t just tweaking the meta—it’s flipping the entire battlefield. On September 17, MOONTON Games rolls out the Project NEXT 2025 update, and it’s not just another patch. It’s a full-on strategic overhaul, anchored by the Annual Map Change. One Massive MLBB Patch Update

This year’s update introduces four new maps that will force players to rethink everything: lane control, hero picks, ambush tactics, and jungle rotations. If you thought you had the Land of Dawn figured out, think again.

Dangerous Grass: Ambush Season Is Open
First up is Dangerous Grass. This map is a love letter to burst damage heroes and a nightmare for anyone who likes to play safe. Dense bushes now cover the high ground, inner turrets, mid lane, and even the Lord’s pit.
Heroes like Eudora and Saber can now lurk in the shadows, waiting to unleash full combos on unsuspecting enemies. It’s a map built for surprise attacks and high-risk, high-reward plays. If you’re not checking the grass, you’re probably already dead.

Broken Walls: Mobility Gets a Playground
Next is Broken Walls, a map that turns the battlefield into a maze of shortcuts and escape routes. Johnson mains, rejoice—this is your playground.
New paths allow mobility-based heroes to flank, chase, and reposition with ease. Less mobile heroes also benefit, gaining new escape options when things get messy. Junglers can now sneak into the pit from behind, making Lord and Turtle steals more dramatic than ever.
It’s chaos, but it’s calculated chaos. And it’s going to make every match feel like a chess game played at 2x speed.

Flying Cloud: Respawn, Hover, Reengage
Flying Cloud introduces a literal elevation in gameplay. Near the base, a new platform allows respawned heroes to enter a flight state and hover for five seconds.
This feature lets players defend high ground faster, initiate team fights from unexpected angles, or save turrets from a minion siege. It’s a mobility boost that adds verticality to MLBB’s traditionally flat battlefield.
Expect clutch saves, surprise reentries, and a whole lot of “Where did they come from?” moments.

Expanding Rivers: Go With the Flow
The fourth map, Expanding Rivers, turns the river into a speed lane. The intensified current now spills into nearby areas, giving heroes a mobility boost for faster ganks and rotations.
Heroes without dash skills—think Estes or Nana—can now move with the flow, literally. It’s a subtle change with big implications, especially for support players who need to be everywhere at once.
This map rewards awareness and positioning, making every rotation a potential game-changer.

Developer Insight: A Patch Built for Everyone
Arnold Xie, Lead Developer at MOONTON Games, calls this the biggest patch yet. “By reimagining the Land of Dawn, we aim to provide our players with new challenges to embrace,” he said.
The goal? Keep the game fresh, strategic, and accessible. Whether you’re a ranked grinder or a casual player, the new maps offer something new to master—and something new to mess up in spectacular fashion. One Massive MLBB Patch Update

Enter Obsidia: The Shadow Abyss Strikes Back
As if four new maps weren’t enough, Project NEXT 2025 also introduces Obsidia, a new marksman from the Shadow Abyss.
Obsidia isn’t just another ranged DPS. She’s the former sovereign of the bottomless pit, and she’s bringing dark energy, precision attacks, and a backstory that screams “final boss energy.”
Expect her to shake up the marksman meta with unique mechanics and high burst potential. She’s not here to poke—she’s here to dominate.
What This Means for Players
Project NEXT 2025 isn’t just a patch—it’s a paradigm shift. With four new maps and a powerful new hero, MLBB is pushing players to adapt, evolve, and rethink their strategies from the ground up.
It’s a bold move, and it’s exactly what the game needs to stay competitive, unpredictable, and fun. Whether you’re hiding in the grass, flying into battle, or flowing downriver, the Land of Dawn will never feel the same again.
Major revamps will also be introduced for select heroes from The Abyss, such as Alice, Dyrroth, and Thamuz. Stay tuned for more information to be shared soon on MLBB’s official channels, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube.
