HUAWEI has launched the FreeBuds 7i in the Philippines, positioning the new earbuds as an affordable option for users looking for advanced noise cancellation, spatial audio, and clearer voice calls at a sub-PHP 5,000 price point.
Aimed at students, professionals, and commuters, the FreeBuds 7i focuses on adaptive audio features designed for daily urban use, from public transport and shared workspaces to remote meetings and entertainment.
Adaptive Noise Cancellation for Daily Environments
The FreeBuds 7i is equipped with Intelligent Dynamic ANC 4.0, delivering an average noise reduction depth of 28 dB and support for up to 55 dB of full-range noise cancellation. According to HUAWEI, the system adjusts in under 0.5 seconds, allowing the earbuds to respond quickly to changing noise levels in busy environments such as trains, cafés, and offices.
An enlarged rear vent structure is designed to improve noise absorption while reducing ear pressure, enabling longer listening sessions with less discomfort.
Clearer Voice Calls With AI Noise Reduction
For calls, the FreeBuds 7i uses a six-microphone system paired with a Voice Pickup Unit (VPU) sensor and AI bone-conduction technology. This setup is designed to isolate the user’s voice while reducing background noise by up to 90 dB, making calls more intelligible in outdoor or crowded settings.
The earbuds also support wind noise resistance of up to 9 m/s, aimed at maintaining call clarity during outdoor movement and commutes.

The FreeBuds 7i introduces Unlimited Spatial Audio, supported by six-axis sensors and head tracking. Audio dynamically shifts with head movement, creating a 360-degree soundstage intended for gaming, movies, and immersive media.
The earbuds support high-definition audio transmission of up to 990 kbps and feature an 11-mm quad-magnet dynamic driver, delivering balanced mids, punchy bass, and clear treble. Users can further customize audio through a 10-band EQ, with in-ear microphones adjusting sound output based on fit and listening volume.

Each earbud weighs 5.4 grams and includes multiple ear tip sizes, including an extra-small option. Head motion controls allow users to answer or reject calls hands-free, reducing the need to interact with a connected device.
The FreeBuds 7i carries an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. Battery life reaches up to 8 hours on a single charge, with up to 35 hours using the charging case. Fast charging provides up to four hours of playback from a 10-minute charge.
The earbuds also support dual-device connectivity, allowing seamless switching between smartphones, tablets, and laptops across Android and iOS platforms.
