Jollibee Turns Kids Meals into Collectibles With Pokémon Evolution Surprise
Fast food giant Jollibee is transforming its Kids Meals into collectible items with the launch of Pokémon Evolution Surprise, a limited-time promotion that brings Pokémon toys to family dining across the Philippines.
Running from February 1 to March 31, every Jollibee Kids Meal includes one Pokémon figure sealed inside a surprise box.
The promotion features 10 collectible Pokémon, highlighting well-known characters alongside their evolved forms, reinforcing the theme of discovery and progression tied to the franchise.
Ten Pokémon to catch
The lineup includes pairs such as Pichu and Pikachu, Psyduck and Golduck, Munchlax and Snorlax, Vulpix and Ninetales, and Riolu and Lucario. Five figures represent single-stage Pokémon, while the remaining five showcase their evolved counterparts.
According to Jollibee, the campaign aims to make family meals more interactive by adding a play-driven experience to its Kids Meal offerings, blending food, collectibles, and surprise mechanics familiar to younger audiences.
Pokémon-Themed Launch Marks Milestone Store
The Pokémon Evolution Surprise was unveiled during a themed launch event held at Jollibee’s 1,000th store, attended by families, fans, and company partners. Representatives from Jollibee, Animation International Philippines, and The Pokémon Company were present during the event.
Pikachu made a surprise appearance, interacting with attendees and posing for photos with fans and community members. Guests also participated in games and activities tied to the Pokémon theme.
Each Pokémon figure includes a Poké Ball or Great Ball clip, letting players attach the toy to bags or display it at home, extending its use beyond the meal.
“Pokémon is one of the most loved franchises in the world, enjoyed by both children and adults,” said Dorothy Dee-Ching, vice president for marketing of Jollibee Philippines. “With the Pokémon Evolution Surprise, we’re bringing that excitement to families in a fun, unexpected way.”
