Team Liquid Dominates and NAVI PH Falls in Playoffs
Liquid Powers Through Twisted Minds. Team Liquid Dominates and advances

The MWI 2025 playoffs kicked off in Riyadh with a tale of two Filipino squads—and two very different outcomes. Team Liquid PH, runners-up from the Athena League, came out swinging and didn’t let up. Their quarterfinal match against Twisted Minds Orchid was less of a contest and more of a showcase. Team Liquid Dominates and Navi goes into two different paths.
Game 1 was a clinic. A 17–3 scoreline in 17 minutes set the tone. Zaishii’s Angela was the conductor, orchestrating plays with four kills and 11 assists, while Daiki’s Ruby added solid frontline pressure with four kills and five assists.

Game 2? Even faster. In just 12 minutes, Liquid closed it out 23–6. Ramicii’s Fredrinn was a wall, contributing two kills and 18 assists, while Zaishii switched to Zhuxin, racking up three kills and 15 assists.
But the highlight reel belonged to CLA’s Granger. She dropped a maniac, finishing with 16 kills and five assists in a near-perfect performance. It was the kind of game that makes you double-check the scoreboard.
Liquid now heads into a best-of-five semifinal against Team Vitality, the Indonesian juggernaut with a score to settle. Expect fireworks.
NAVI PH’s Title Defense Ends Early
For Natus Vincere PH, the defending MWI champions, the playoffs were a different story. Their match against Gaimin Gladiators was a reminder that past glory doesn’t guarantee future wins.

Game 1 was rough from the start. NAVI’s tank-heavy draft, anchored by Keishi’s jungle Fredrinn, couldn’t find rhythm. Asia’s Cici disrupted their tempo, while Sayori’s Valentina ran wild with six kills and eight assists.
Not ayanami’s Arlott couldn’t get going, ending with just two kill contributions and three deaths. The game wrapped in 15 minutes, and NAVI looked out of sync.
Game 2 was tighter. Shinoa’s Irithel managed two kills and three assists, but the Angela-Yu Zhong combo fizzled against Gladiators’ anti-lifesteal setup.
Ashlay’s Minotaur supported well with nine assists, while NAVI’s Meraaaay’s Grock lagged behind with just four. The synergy wasn’t there, and the momentum never shifted.
NAVI PH exits in the 5th–8th bracket, earning US$20,000 and 200 MWI points. It’s a respectable finish, but far from the title defense fans hoped for.
What’s Next
With NAVI PH out, Team Liquid PH carries the Filipino flag into the semifinals. Their clash with Team Vitality is more than just a rematch—it’s a chance to rewrite the MWI narrative.
Liquid’s form looks sharp, their synergy is clicking, and their confidence is peaking. If they keep this pace, they might just go all the way. They will need everything they have in the tank as they go up against Team Vitality, another Juggernaut in women’s MLBB.
