Honor of Kings World Cup 2025 Brings Global Firepower

The Stage Is Set: Riyadh Hosts the Ultimate Clash

The countdown is officially on. Starting July 15, the world’s top Honor of Kings esports teams will converge in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the Honor of Kings World Cup (KWC) 2025. And this isn’t just another tournament—it’s the biggest showdown in the game’s history, with a jaw-dropping $3,000,000 prize pool and a format designed to deliver maximum drama.

As part of the Esports World Cup 2025, the KWC will feature elite squads from around the globe, including two invited KPL teams: the Spring Season champion and the ACL champion. That’s right—China’s finest are joining the fray, and they’re not here to play nice.

Format That Fuels Fireworks

The KWC introduces the Global Ban&Pick system, a drafting format that’s already shaken up regional leagues. It’s strategic, it’s unpredictable, and it’s built for high-stakes mind games. Expect nail-biters, reverse sweeps, and underdog miracles.

  • Group Stage (July 15–19): 16 teams split into four groups. Double elimination. Best-of-3 format. Group winners advance to the Group Kings. Runners-up head to Last Chance.
  • Group Kings & Last Chance (July 20): Bo5 matches determine who moves on. Winners from Group Kings enter Pool 1. Last Chance survivors join Pool 2.
  • Playoffs (July 23–26): Eight teams battle in a single-elimination bracket. Two KPL teams—AG.AL and TT Global—join the mix. The Grand Finals on July 26 will feature a best-of-7 “Ultimate Battle” draft mode.

Teams to Watch: Global Talent, Local Pride

The lineup is stacked. From Southeast Asia to Europe, powerhouse organizations are bringing their A-game.

  • Group A: Blacklist International, BOOM Esports, Gen.G Esports, Paws Gaming

Expect fireworks from Blacklist International and Gen.G Esports, while Nova Esports and TT Global are tipped to be dark horses.

In-Game Events: Play, Predict, Win

The KWC isn’t just for pros. Players at home can join the celebration with a tournament-themed Honor Pass running from June 24 to August 28.

  • Elite Pass: Free to claim. Complete missions to level up.
  • Level 1 Reward: Nuwa–Syzygy Moonlight skin.
  • Level 80 Reward: Exclusive Alessio KWC skin.
  • Extras: Team support voting, match prediction quizzes, and more.

It’s esports meets engagement, and it’s designed to keep fans hyped from start to finish.

Players to Watch: The Ones Who Could Steal the Show

While the teams are stacked, individual brilliance will define the tournament. Two Filipinos have been spotlighted as must-watch talents. Expect clutch plays, game-saving ultimates, and highlight-reel moments from these rising stars.

Whether it’s a last-minute tower dive or a perfectly timed ban, these players are the ones who could turn the tide—and maybe walk away with the MVP crown.
