Acer Grows Commercial Business with Latest Chromebook
From becoming the number one notebook brand in the country to leading the Philippine PC market in all circumstances for 10 years straight, Acer Philippines is now poised to dominate the commercial PC segment with its latest Chromebook model (CB713-1W).

For the commercial market, we particularly improved the features of our latest Chromebook with specifications that are designed for work and education,” said Sales and Marketing Director Sue Ong-Lim of Acer Philippines.
The Acer Chromebook CB713-1W has a polished performance, according to the company. Some of the advantages of Chrome OS include fast boot times, ease of use, tough security, and a long battery life.
Of this, Acer Philippines Senior Product Manager for Commercial, Cristian Caoagas explained, “With a fast boot time you’ll start working quicker; the simplified interface makes it easy to learn; integrated malware protection stops viruses in their tracks; and finally an efficient use of power means you can work all day without your power adapter.”
The latest Chromebook is also said to contain features that allow the laptop to update automatically and for free. It allows users to work online and offline, connecting users to offline apps like Gmail and Google Docs.
It also boasts a “one port, many uses” feature, as one connector is used for “ultra-quick” data transfer, video streaming, and battery charging. “The reversible USB 3.1 Type-C™ connector is the same at both ends and on both sides, so it’s easy to attach. USB 3.1 is 10 times faster than USB 2.0,” Caoagas added.
With this latest innovation, Acer’s growing, solid commercial portfolio is the key driver for its Commercial business growth with constant development of customizable options maximizing the latest technologies to meet different business requirements.
The demand of the education sector in Acer’s ongoing efforts has also bolstered the company’s position by continuously transforming the current Philippine education landscape to digital through its Acer Academy program.
